Azaleos, Amazon Named Finalists for WTIA Award
1/12/2010
SEATTLE, Jan. 12, 2010 -- Azaleos® Corporation, the managed messaging and collaboration services company, today announced that it was selected as a finalist in the 15th annual Washington Technology Industry Association’s (WTIA) Industry Achievement Awards in the Service Provider of the Year category. Azaleos provides an attractive alternative to purely hosted services for organizations that want the benefits of cloud services, but can’t or won’t allow their data to reside outside the datacenter.

“We had a terrific group of applicants for this year’s Industry Achievement Awards which included two new categories to reflect our broadened scope as a Tech Association. The finalists demonstrate once again the incredible creativity and innovation going on across all sectors of our industry,” said Ken Myer, president and CEO of the WTIA. “We congratulate all the finalists and look forward to unveiling the winners in March.”

Azaleos was selected by a panel of WTIA judges for its unique approach to managed services and patented ViewX technology that enables the company to remotely monitor and manage messaging (Microsoft Exchange), collaboration (SharePoint), and unified communications (Office Communications Server) infrastructures that reside within its customers’ networks. Azaleos delivers cost savings and significant service level improvements by providing integrated services that link and manage messaging infrastructures from end-to-end.

“The WTIA Achievement Awards is one of the most hotly contested technology competitions in the nation since there is such a wealth of innovation in this region,” said Phil Van Etten, Chief Executive Officer of Azaleos. “Azaleos is honored to be a WTIA finalist, and to be recognized for our hybrid approach that enables businesses to confidently offload a large chunk of their IT infrastructure management to our experts. Our unique services maintain high system uptimes, optimize unified communications applications, and keep customer data inside the firewall where they control it.”

Each year, the WTIA acknowledges Washington technology companies and organizations that demonstrate outstanding innovation and excellence. The winner in the Service Provider of the Year category will be recognized for supplying the most exemplary technology service to the industry. This vendor will have demonstrated effective use of technology to bring extraordinary quality, creativity and responsiveness to customers, and will have regularly exceeded their customers’ expectations.

The WTIA will announce the winners at its annual Industry Achievement Awards celebration on March 4. This year’s celebration will be held at Showbox SODO in Seattle. For more information about the awards, or to register for the awards ceremony, visit http://www.washingtontechnology.org/iaa.
